Paulo Cleveland AS9100 Re-Certification

Paulo’s Cleveland Division recently completed a three-day re-certification audit for AS9100 rev D. The audit was a tremendous success with zero findings.  AS9100 is the Aerospace & Defense focused quality management system standard that includes ISO 9001. AS9100, Nadcap, and customer approvals form the three legs of the stool that support quality Aerospace & Defense thermal processing.

This re-certification was different in two ways. First, the audit was performed remotely with the assistance of video conferencing tools in light of health and safety concerns related to COVID-19. Secondly, this re-certification included adding Hot Isostatic Pressing to the scope. Two auditors worked with the Cleveland plant team and Corporate Quality over the three-day audit to confirm processes, systems, and documentation were all compliant to the standard.
