With the Thanksgiving holiday behind us it is time to look back on the Fall Trade shows, specifically the largest show of the Fall, FABTECH.
FABTECH 2017 kicked off with a bang, traffic was excellent on the first day. Attendees from around the world saw innovative new solutions and robotics and additive manufacturing were the talk of the show. FABTECH is a melting pot of manufacturing with strong representation from welding, stamping, machining and coatings. At the end of the day the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) hosted a celebration of their 75th Anniversary in their booth. The celebration was well attended with people packed in the aisles. It was a great opportunity to catch up with other PMA members and celebrate manufacturing.
Overall the traffic was best the first two days of the show and tapered off as the week went on. Traffic tapered off quickly and Wednesday and Thursday were quite light. This was a trend throughout the Fall shows Paulo attended and exhibited, it seems attendance was not as strong as years past. However, these same show have been excellent opportunities to touch base with current customers. The Wichita Industrial Trade Show and FABTECH in particular provided many chances to connect with our current customers and further those relationships.
Next on the horizon are two shows in Las Vegas. Next week Paulo will attend POWER-GEN International, which focuses on the power generation industry. In January, 2018 we will exhibit in the supplier portion of the SHOT Show to showcase our firearm component processing capabilities.
Founded in 1943, Paulo is one of the largest providers of heat treating, brazing, and metal finishing solutions in North America. Headquartered in St. Louis, Paulo operates six divisions servicing the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States and northern Mexico.
