La tranquilidad de saber a qu\u00e9 procesos se someter\u00e1n las piezas es posible, pero s\u00f3lo si se comprenden.<br \/>Aqu\u00ed examinamos dos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asminternational.org\/documents\/10192\/22533690\/5344G_Sample_BuyNow.pdf\/96e9ae44-b6a1-420c-abf5-ee32a98280d5\">t\u00e9cnicas de cementaci\u00f3n<\/a>-la nitrocarburaci\u00f3n y la carbonitruraci\u00f3n- y explicar las diferencias entre las t\u00e9cnicas y los beneficios que se derivan de su uso.<\/p>\n<h3>Endurecimiento de la caja<\/h3>\n<p>La nitrocarburaci\u00f3n y la carbonitruraci\u00f3n suenan de forma parecida y realizan funciones similares: endurecer la superficie de una pieza aportando carbono, nitr\u00f3geno o ambos a su superficie.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paulo.com\/es\/services\/heat-treating\/case-hardening\/\">Endurecimiento de la caja<\/a> se refiere a la \"caja\" que se desarrolla alrededor de una pieza que se somete a un tratamiento de endurecimiento. Los cambios qu\u00edmicos provocados por la cementaci\u00f3n son los responsables de la dureza a\u00f1adida de la superficie de la pieza.<br \/>El material, las especificaciones de la pieza y los usos previstos determinan si la nitrocarburaci\u00f3n o la carbonitruraci\u00f3n es el mejor m\u00e9todo de cementaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3>Carbonitruraci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>Durante la carbonitruraci\u00f3n, las piezas se calientan en una c\u00e1mara sellada hasta el rango austen\u00edtico -alrededor de 1600 grados Fahrenheit- antes de a\u00f1adir nitr\u00f3geno y carbono. Como la pieza se calienta hasta el rango austen\u00edtico, se produce un cambio de fase y los \u00e1tomos de carbono y nitr\u00f3geno pueden difundirse en la pieza.<br \/>El nitr\u00f3geno se suele a\u00f1adir a los aceros de bajo carbono y baja aleaci\u00f3n que, de otro modo, no se endurecer\u00edan bien. El nitr\u00f3geno viene en forma de amon\u00edaco, que se agrieta en la superficie de la pieza para proporcionar nitr\u00f3geno que se difunde en el acero. La adici\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno tambi\u00e9n ayuda a la pieza a mantener la dureza durante su uso en entornos de alto calor.<br \/>Los aceros de bajo carbono y baja aleaci\u00f3n con baja templabilidad son buenos candidatos para la carbonitruraci\u00f3n porque el proceso incorpora dureza a esos materiales que, de otro modo, no resultar\u00eda del tratamiento t\u00e9rmico seguido del enfriamiento.<br \/>La carbonitruraci\u00f3n suele alcanzar mayores profundidades de caja que la nitrocarburaci\u00f3n. No hay un l\u00edmite te\u00f3rico para la profundidad de la caja que se puede lograr en cualquiera de los procesos, pero un l\u00edmite pr\u00e1ctico es la cantidad de tiempo y recursos que uno est\u00e1 dispuesto a gastar para lograr ciertas profundidades de la caja.<br \/>El proceso de carbonitruraci\u00f3n suele durar unas horas para conseguir los resultados deseados: una pieza con una gran dureza superficial pero con un n\u00facleo relativamente d\u00factil. El proceso concluye con un enfriamiento.<br \/>La carbonitruraci\u00f3n se utiliza para endurecer las superficies de las piezas fabricadas con aceros relativamente m\u00e1s baratos y f\u00e1ciles de mecanizar, como las piezas de autom\u00f3vil estampadas o los tornillos para madera. El proceso hace que las piezas sean m\u00e1s resistentes al desgaste y aumenta la resistencia a la fatiga.<\/p>\n<h3>Nitrocarburaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>La nitrocarburaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n implica la disoluci\u00f3n de carbono y nitr\u00f3geno en una pieza, pero, en comparaci\u00f3n con la carbonitruraci\u00f3n, se utiliza m\u00e1s nitr\u00f3geno en la nitrocarburaci\u00f3n. Existen dos formas de nitrocarburaci\u00f3n: austen\u00edtica y ferr\u00edtica.<br \/>La nitrocarburaci\u00f3n austen\u00edtica se refiere a la temperatura de la zona enriquecida con nitr\u00f3geno en la superficie de una pieza. En esa zona se produce un cambio de fase que permite la difusi\u00f3n del nitr\u00f3geno. La nitrocarburaci\u00f3n ferr\u00edtica se lleva a cabo a una temperatura inferior en la que no se produce ning\u00fan cambio de fase.<br \/>La profundidad de la caja como resultado de la nitrocarburaci\u00f3n es normalmente m\u00e1s superficial en comparaci\u00f3n con la carbonitruraci\u00f3n.<br \/>La nitrocarburaci\u00f3n ferr\u00edtica es \u00fanica en el sentido de que ofrece un endurecimiento en caja sin necesidad de calentar las piezas met\u00e1licas para que cambien de fase (se realiza entre 975 y 1.125 grados Fahrenheit). Dentro de ese rango de temperatura, los \u00e1tomos de nitr\u00f3geno pueden difundirse en el acero, pero el riesgo de distorsi\u00f3n disminuye. Debido a su forma y tama\u00f1o, los \u00e1tomos de carbono no pueden difundirse en la pieza en este proceso de baja temperatura.<br \/>Entre las piezas que se mejoran con la nitrocarburaci\u00f3n se encuentran los componentes del tren de transmisi\u00f3n de los autom\u00f3viles y la maquinaria pesada, los componentes de las armas de fuego, como los ca\u00f1ones y las correderas, y las matrices para los procesos de fabricaci\u00f3n.<br \/>La nitrocarburaci\u00f3n disminuye el potencial de corrosi\u00f3n de las piezas y mejora su aspecto.
